Data Scientist/Senior Data Scientist

An exciting opportunity to work with the leading provider of Marketing Attribution. Visual IQ is seeking a Data Scientist/Senior Data Scientist for the development and deployment of predictive statistical models and algorithms that are at the core of Visual IQ’s Marketing intelligence products.


  • Develop state-of-the-art models for attribution, predictive and optimization models of market behavior and consumer response to marketing stimuli
  • Develop algorithms and models to build audience segments and to create systems for implementing 1-to-1 messaging with the users based on their audience characteristics
  • Develop algorithms to develop components of people based attribution from cross-device data and audience data
  • Develop reusable code to automate generation of large scale predictive and marketing attribution models based on processing of complex data from multiple sources using high level statistical programming languages
  • Develop algorithm to develop the components to quantify publisher fraud and viewability of media and integrate that into attribution systems
  • Develop models and algorithms to predict the variations in media costs and available inventories of publishers based on the historical data
  • Research, evaluate and implement high performance computing paradigms (e.g. parallelization) for processing of large amounts of data and building/simulation of large scale statistical models
  • Provide training, guidance, and assistance to team members and support internal teams and client specific modeling projects as data science subject matter expert on an as needed basis
  • Develop and standardize large scale marketing mix modeling and optimization procedures and support end-to-end development and deployment of client specific marketing mix models, involving data collection and analysis, model building, validation analysis, and analytical reporting
  • Collaborate with product and other internal teams to implement and deploy solutions into Visual IQ’s suite of marketing intelligence products


  • PhD or equivalent in a highly quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Operations Research and/or Economics. Additional qualification in Marketing/Management field such as a MBA will be a plus.
  • In-depth understanding of statistical modeling paradigms and approaches related to predictive modeling, machine learning, optimization, deep learning and data mining.
  • Experience with well-known quantitative techniques such as regression, significance testing, multivariate analysis
  • Experience with R programming language and other computational platforms such as MATLAB and high level languages and Python
  • Hands on, motivated, self-starter and can do attitude
  • Great attention to details as well as ability to see the big picture
  • Possess a high degree of code development acumen and discipline
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • 3 years or more of relevant experience is required for the Senior Data Scientist role
  • Experience with Relational Databases and SQL programming is desirable
  • Experience in marketing mix modeling, attribution modeling and marketing optimization in one or several verticals such as financial services, CPG, pharmaceuticals, retail, and tele-communications is desirable
